The City of Fredericton is a Canadian leader in environmentally sustainable development and management. In keeping with the City's goal to be the first city in Canada to reach Kyoto targets, the Knowledge Park is an environmentally responsible design that respects the identified environmental features of the area, including wetlands and a protected larch tree stand. Developers will maintain recognized views and vistas while adding a water feature to the centre of the site. Trails will connect the three sites, allowing employees and guests the opportunity to enjoy the Knowledge Park's natural setting and the adjoining woodland trails in the UNB woodlot.
